With more than 15 years experience in investment banking and investor relations, McCarthy has been involved in over $1 billion in financings for client-companies through more than 100 Initial Public Offerings and Private Placements.
McCarthy began her career as a money manager for high-net-worth individuals and institutions at Global Capital Securities Corporation, a full-service investment banking and brokerage firm. She then served as Vice President of Syndicate, managing the syndication of all of the firm’s public offerings, and was later promoted to be the firm’s Vice President of Corporate Finance. She also served as an officer of Medinex Systems, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed healthcare technology company, leading the company through more than $30 million in financings and the completion of 10 acquisitions.
Over the last 15 years, McCarthy has served on both private and public boards and has held series 63, 7 and 24 securities licenses. In 2007, she was distinguished with a “Forty Under 40″ leadership award from the Orlando Business Journal.
